YAPBD could block the TEAD-YAP complex formation by competing with YAP binding to TEAD. YAPBD could inhibit glioma cell growth both in vitro and in vivo, through the induction of cell cycle arrest and apoptosis. The cell cycle-related gene cyclin D1 and c-myc, and anti-apoptotic gene Bcl-2, Bcl-xL and survivin were inhibited after YAPBD overexpression. Furthermore, YAPBD also decreased cell migration and invasion, and repressed epithelial-mesenchymal transition.

For the past few years, scientists have made significant contributions to deriving organoids representing the whole brain and specific brain regions. Coupled with somatic cell reprogramming and CRISPR/Cas9 editing, the organoid technologies were applied for disease modeling and drug screening. The methods to develop organoids further improved for rapid and efficient generation of cerebral organoids. Additionally, refining the methods to develop the regionally specified brain organoids enabled the investigation of development and interaction of the specific brain regions. Recent studies started resolving the issue in the lack of non-neuroectodermal cells in brain organoids, including vascular endothelial cells and microglia, which play fundamental roles in neurodevelopment and are involved in the pathophysiology of acute and chronic neural disorders. In this review, we highlight recent advances of neuronal organoid technologies, focusing on the region-specific brain organoids and complementation with endothelial cells and microglia, and discuss their potential applications to neuronal diseases.The range of anesthesiological procedures in ophthalmology has not changed significantly over the last decades, with local anesthesia clearly coming to the fore. However, the prevalence of the ARC-HBR criteria in patients undergoing endovascular therapy (EVT) for peripheral artery disease in lower extremities has not been thoroughly investigated. This study sought to investigate the prevalence and impact of the ARC-HBR criteria in patients undergoing EVT. We analyzed 277 consecutive patients who underwent their first EVT from July 2011 to September 2019. We applied the full ARC-HBR criteria to the study population. The primary end point was a composite outcome of all-cause mortality, Bleeding Academic Research Consortium 3 or 5 bleeding, and lower limb amputation within 12 months of EVT. Among the 277 patients, 193 (69.7%) met the ARC-HBR criteria. HBR patients had worse clinical outcomes compared with non-HBR patients at 12 months after EVT, including a higher incidence of the composite primary outcome (19.2% vs.
